Fairy Meadow SLSC has a proud and long history in Surf Boats with having crews competing in carnivals Australia wide and in endurance surf boat marathons!
Now after more than a decade away from competition, surf boats made a triumphant return to the club in 2025. This season we currently have three dedicated crews representing us in black and gold, most recently at the Weekend @ the Roy Carnival, marking Fairy Meadow’s first competitive appearance in over ten years. We’re also thrilled to welcome home Aussie Title winning sweep Tim McFarlane! whose experience and leadership are helping rebuild a strong, competitive boat program at the club.
Fairy Meadow is now actively recruiting new rowers! Whether you’re chasing fitness, competition, or the camaraderie that comes with being part of a crew, surf boats are an incredible way to get involved. If you’re ready to jump in, we’d love to have you on board!
At Fairy Meadow SLSC, surf sports are at the heart of our active, community‑driven culture. As the Fairy Meadow Seals, we provide opportunities for members of all ages and abilities to compete at carnivals across the state, proudly representing the black and gold at Branch level and at events like the Sydney Water series for competition. Our weekly board training sessions build confidence and surf skills, open to any member whether you’re a seasoned pro or brand new!

we offer a supportive, social environment for paddlers to grow, learn, and push themselves. with sessions organised at Fairy Meadow Beach to learn surf skills and other planned sessions across the Illawarra and south coast that provide the opportunity to learn to paddle and gain confidence on the skis as well as a fun day out!
